  • Maximum occupancy

    Per suite in existing bedding:

  • Check-in / Check-out times

    Check-in time is from 2pm. Check-out time is 10.30am. Where possible, flexibility with early check-in and late check-out will be provided, however, these are unable to be guaranteed. The facilities of the main lodge are available for enjoyment whilst at the property.

  • Rates and inclusions

    Rates quoted are per person per night in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of 10% goods and services tax (GST). A stay at the lodge includes gourmet breakfast, sunset drinks and canapes, dinner with daily inspired menu, open bar^ with premium wines and spirits from 6pm daily, non alcoholic beverages, selected in-suite bar*, complimentary adult mountain bikes and island airport transfers. ^Cellarmasters list additional *Excludes spirits

  • Extra person rate

    Extra Person Rate applies when staying in the same suite with a minimum of two guests (subject to maximum suite occupancy).

  • Airport transfers

    The lodge operates complimentary transfers connecting with scheduled flights to and from Lord Howe Island Airport shared with fellow guests.

  • Special dietary needs

    As Capella Lodge is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. We will do our best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret we are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.

  • Payment policy

    A credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Full prepayment is required two months prior to arrival. We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express or direct deposit. Payments by Visa or Mastercard attract a 1.6% surcharge; payment by American Express attracts a 2.47% surcharge (surcharges subject to change).

  • Peak season deposit policy

    All bookings over the Christmas/New Year period 17 December 2022 to 28 January 2023 inclusive must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within 14 days of reservation.

  • Cancellation policy

    Cancellations within two months of arrival 50% of total paid will be refunded. Within one prior to arrival all monies will be forfeited.

    No refunds can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight and/or weather disruption. We recommend you protect yourself with travel insurance.

  • Travelling well during a pandemic

    It’s wonderful to be able to travel again after a pause due to the pandemic and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to stay at Baillie Lodges.   • Child policy

    Capella Lodge welcomes children ten years and over. Application for exception may be made dependent on season, child age(s) and booking particulars.

  • Group policy

    At Capella Lodge a group is defined as three or more suites travelling together. As an intimate property, some special conditions apply to group bookings.

How do I get there?

Lord Howe Island is situated in the South Pacific Ocean, 700km north-east of Sydney, Australia. Flights are an easy 1hr 50 min from Sydney, and provide a spectacular aerial welcome to the island. Weekend flights also depart from Brisbane.
