Check-in / Check-out times
Check-in time is from 2pm. Check-out time is 10.30am. Where possible, flexibility with early check-in and late check-out will be provided, however, these are unable to be guaranteed. The facilities of the main lodge are available for enjoyment whilst at the property.

Extra person rate
Extra Person Rate applies when staying in the same suite with a minimum of two guests (subject to maximum suite occupancy).
The lodge operates complimentary transfers connecting with scheduled flights to and from Lord Howe Island Airport shared with fellow guests.
Special dietary needs
As Capella Lodge is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. We will do our best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret we are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.
A credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Full prepayment is required two months prior to arrival. We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express or direct deposit. Payments by Visa or Mastercard attract a 1.6% surcharge; payment by American Express attracts a 2.47% surcharge (surcharges subject to change).
Peak season deposit policy
All bookings over the Christmas/New Year period 17 December 2021 to 26 January 2022 inclusive and 17 December 2022 to 28 January 2023 inclusive must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within 14 days of reservation.
Cancellations within two months of arrival 50% of total paid will be refunded. Within one prior to arrival all monies will be forfeited.
No refunds can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight and/or weather disruption. We recommend you protect yourself with travel insurance.
Covid-19 Peace of Mind
Guests at Baillie Lodges travel with confidence, knowing full flexibility is offered for change of plans due to Covid-19-related health matters or travel restrictions. Refunds or credits will be offered for any necessary cancellations or date for stays up until March 31, 2022.
Whilst government regulations are still evolving, it’s possible we may only be permitted to welcome guests who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. To avoid any potential disappointment, we strongly recommend that you schedule your vaccinations and have had your second shot at least 14 days before travelling to Lord Howe Island.
In the event that you are unable to travel due non-compliance with Health Orders in effect at the time, it’s important to note our flexible cancellation policy would not apply and cancellations within one month of arrival will be subject to a full deposit forfeiture.
Capella Lodge welcomes children ten years and over. Application for exception may be made dependent on season, child age(s) and booking particulars.
